We’re thrilled to welcome our very first guest art We’re thrilled to welcome our very first guest artist workshop to Globe Gallery! Visiting us all the way from Alaska, artist and educator Ashley Lohr will be joining us for a special 3-hour Torch-Fired Enamel Earring Workshop as she makes her way through our area! Spend the evening learning this unique process directly from Ashley and create your own one-of-a-kind pair of torch-fired enamel earrings to take home. All materials are included—just come ready to create! Sunday, September 20th | 5–8 PM Globe Gallery Space is limited and pre-registration is required. You can find the registration link in our bio! Check out her bio below: Ashley Lohr is a multimedia artist and educator from Petersburg, Alaska. Living on a little island in the Pacific Northwest with her fisherman husband and their two children provides a lot of inspiration for her work. Ashley has taught jewelry for 17 years and has her masters in Studio Art from MICA. Ashley has been traveling and teaching her torch-fire enamel jewelry workshops in Seattle, San Diego and Alaska. She's excited to expand her enamel teaching reach to the east coast!

Born in 1976, Edward Grad lives and works in Hudson Valley, New York. He is a contemporary artist and photographer whose internationally exhibited work explores architecture, history, and the character of cities around the world. Grad earned a BA in Fine Arts through a Bauhaus-influenced curriculum in Europe and later studied Roman Architecture at Yale University and post-production at Toronto Film School. For more than 20 years, he worked in Hollywood as a concept artist and digital matte painter. His credits include Harry Potter, Walt Disney Animation’s Academy Award-winning films Frozen and Big Hero 6, the Emmy Award-winning HBO series Boardwalk Empire, as well as Super Bowl and Apple commercials and music videos for artists including Katy Perry, Bad Bunny, and Pink. Today, he focuses on fine art photography and mixed media. For PROJECT SCRANTON, he presents a photographic series exploring Scranton’s architectural character and history, offering a fresh perspective on this unique city. -- We were incredibly honored to welcome Edward Grad as a guest artist for Project Scranton. There is something especially meaningful about having an artist with such an established and accomplished career trust a new gallery with his work. As we continue to build Globe Gallery, moments like this remind us of the responsibility, and privilege, of creating a space where artists feel their work will be thoughtfully presented, respected, and cared for. His practice spans photojournalism and street photography while extending into research-based conceptual work and long-form visual series. Vogrin’s professional work centers on storytelling within higher education and community-based documentary initiatives. His current project, Art In Our Hometown, documents and celebrates the artists and organizations that have made a meaningful impact throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania. In addition to his creative practice, Vogrin is an educator, teaching in both higher education and community settings.

All experience levels are welcome, but please note that this is an open studio event rather than formal painting instruction. Enjoy painting alongside other artists in a relaxed, social environment with opportunities for feedback, peer learning, and a short group critique at the end. Project Scranton Rachel Lucille Woodworth @littlestarrun Project Scranton . Rachel Lucille Woodworth is a musician and artist living in Northeast PA. She has never chosen one passion, preferring to work in whatever medium feels intuitive to her in the moment. Though she is most known for her dreampop music as singer-songwriter LittleStarRun and her work in theater, she also does painting, photography, sculpture and most recently has started doing interior design. She likes to create ethereal work with a connection to nature. She is largely influenced by her time living in the Mediterranean. In her photographic work she creates dreamy abstract palettes for the viewer to get lost and wander into. She is most interested in biophilic principles and strives to incorporate them into her work.

Philadelphia-based photographer, born and raised in Scranton, whose practice began in the summer of 2020 with a phone and a curiosity to see familiar places differently. A year later, after receiving encouraging feedback on his work, he purchased his first full-frame camera. What began as a way to document his surroundings soon became a deeper exploration of place. Walking through Philadelphia’s Old City, he began to notice its character, texture, and quiet beauty in a new way, an experience that ultimately led him back to his hometown of Scranton. Over the past five years, his work has evolved across landscape, street, and urban landscape. His photography has been featured in PBS Newsletters through Billy Penn at WHYY and exhibited at Black & Brass Coffee. He is excited to continue that journey as part of The Scranton Project. For him, photography is an act of discovery, appreciation, and connection. A way of slowing down, paying attention, and finding beauty in the grit and authenticity of everyday life.

She founded M Andrews Photography in 2022 and is a member of the Professional Photographers of America. Currently pursuing her Master of Photography degree and Certified Professional Photographer (CPP) certification, Melissa continues to develop her craft through workshops, conferences, and ongoing education. Her portrait and documentary work reflects a belief that photography is more than capturing how something looked, it is a way of remembering how it felt.
