This is my story

Melissa Andrews was born and raised in Northeastern Pennsylvania, where she still lives and works today. What began as a childhood habit of snapping pictures at family gatherings grew into a lifelong pursuit of photography. After years of hands-on learning, starting with a hand-me-down DSLR and continuing through formal coursework, she launched her LLC, M Andrews Photography, in 2022.

A member of the Professional Photographers of America, Melissa is currently working toward her Master of Photography degree and pursuing her Certified Professional Photographer (CPP) certification. She is also active in her state chapter PPA of PA, attending workshops and conferences multiple times a year throughout the state.

Her portrait and documentary work is rooted in a deep connection to her home region, reflecting both the people and the places that shaped her. She approaches every image with a belief that photography is a way of remembering, not just what something looked like, but how it felt.
