For Artists
Open Process offers artists an opportunity to work in a professional gallery environment while connecting with a curious and engaged audience.
Whether you’re developing a new piece, exploring a technique, or continuing an existing project, the program provides dedicated space to create while sharing your artistic practice with the community.
Participation is open to emerging and established artists working in appropriate visual media. Artists are selected through a simple application process.
Create openly. Inspire curiosity. Share your process.
Interested in creating inside the gallery?
We welcome artists of varying disciplines, styles, and experience levels. Whether your process is traditional, experimental, or somewhere in between, we encourage you to apply.
Participation Guidelines
Open Process is designed to encourage creativity, artistic exchange, and meaningful interaction between artists and visitors.
Participating artists are expected to:
– Bring their own artwork, materials, and supplies.
– Work within their assigned gallery space.
– Respect surrounding artwork, exhibitions, and gallery visitors.
– Use materials and techniques appropriate for a shared indoor environment.
– Avoid hazardous chemicals, excessive fumes, open flames, or activities that could damage gallery property.
– Be comfortable with visitors observing their creative process, although continuous conversation or instruction is not required.
– Leave their workspace clean and return any borrowed equipment at the conclusion of the session.
Participation does not require artists to complete a finished work during their session.
Globe Gallery reserves the right to approve participating artists, projects, materials, and workspace arrangements to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone.
